Seminar for career support specialists on the mechanical engineering and metalworking industry

On October 26, 2022 at 3 pm. The State Education Development Agency, in cooperation with foundation Smart minds, Tehnobuss Latvija and the Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industry Association (MASOC), organizes the eighth seminar cycle "An Hour in the Industry", where career counselors and other career development support specialists will be able to learn about career opportunities in the mechanical engineering and metalworking industry.


At the seminar, Tehnobuss Latvija representative/Machinery and Metalworking Industry Association (MASOC) chairman Toms Grīnfelds will talk about the mechanical engineering and metalworking industry, its main trends, sub-sectors, specialists in demand in the industry, qualifications to be acquired and educational institutions.


R. Porniece, coordinator of the MASOC Erasmus+ project "Mobile laboratories for STEM knowledge improvement", will talk about the availability of cross-career materials in the developed teaching aids in engineering and technology within the Erasmus+ project "Mobile laboratories for STEM knowledge improvement".


The career support materials have been developed by the "Smart minds" foundation in cooperation with Tehnobuss Latvija and Merkuur OÜ (Estonia) as part of the Erasmus+ program project "Better career support in the mechanical engineering and metalworking industry", project no. 2021-1-LV01-KA210-SCH-000031207.
