Green validation kit for adults

From 1st October 2023 till 30 September 2024 Foundation Smart minds is a partner in Erasmus+ program KA210-ADU - Small-scale partnerships in adult education project  “Green validation kit for adults”, project No. KA210-ADU-F5FA3189.

Validation is a great opportunity to recognize acquired skills and fast-track access to a workplace for adults who have skills acquired outside the formal education system. This possibility is well regulated in all three partner countries, but it is not applied widely enough.

The partnership aims to:

  • to exchange good practices in the field of validation of skills of adults - to implement and test the main principles of the Council Recommendation on a European approach to micro credentials;
  • to prepare a methodology for informing and motivating adults who have professional experience acquired in an informal way, how this experience can be recognized and used to find a job;
  • to create a digital platform in 4 languages to inform citizens about the opportunities provided by the validation and to explain in easy steps how and why to join a procedure for the recognition of acquired skills;
  • to activate inactive/unemployed persons who are discouraged but possess professional competences acquired through non-formal or independent learning;
  • to upgrade the digital and language competences of the experts from the partner organizations;
  • to prepare proposals to the responsible institutions in the three countries on how to implement the created "reduced model" at the national and European level.

By implementing the project idea, we expect to achieve:

  1. Creation of a useful toolkit to popularize opportunities to validate skills acquired through non-formal education or self- learning;
  2. Deeper partner expertise in validation and lifelong learning;
  3. Better awareness of citizens about the recognition of skills through validation;
  4. Wider implementation of modern ICT technologies in the partner organizations;
  5. Building international partnerships for the exchange of good practices.

The target groups of the project are:

1) persons who are looking for new employment, have acquired skills through informal learning and want to be recognized;

2) teachers and experts from the partner organizations who will improve their skills, upgrade their experience of working in an international environment, develop their creative potential in creating motivational tools for participation in skills validation procedures and increase digital and linguistic competencies;

3)users of the platform are citizens and companies in the three countries who do not know well enough what validation is and the value of skills recognition documents. Institutions responsible for skills policies, lifelong learning, micro-credentials are also stakeholders of the project results.

Project is led by L'ACADEMIE (France).
